Accenture to Aid U.S. Air Force in Modernizing Nuclear Command and Control System

Accenture Federal Services, a subsidiary of Accenture, has been awarded a $999 million contract by the United States Air Force to modernize the nuclear command and control system.

The contract is for the Engineering and Integration of the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) System, which is responsible for providing the President and other senior leaders with the ability to make decisions and issue orders regarding the use of nuclear weapons.

Accenture Federal Services will lead a team of subcontractors to provide engineering and integration services for the NC3 system, including design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.

The contract is part of the Air Force's broader effort to modernize its nuclear forces, which includes the development of a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and a new nuclear-armed cruise missile.

The Air Force has said that the modernization of the NC3 system is necessary to ensure that the United States maintains a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent.

Accenture Federal Services is a leading provider of information technology and management consulting services to the U.S. government.

The company has a long history of working with the Air Force, and it has been involved in the development and modernization of the NC3 system for many years.

The contract award is a major win for Accenture Federal Services, and it is expected to help the company continue to grow its business in the government sector.
