Broncos Name Six Captains for 2023 Season

The Denver Broncos have announced their six team captains for the 2023 NFL season. Head Coach Sean Payton unveiled the selections after a team vote.
The captains are:
- Russell Wilson, Quarterback
- Justin Simmons, Safety
- Bradley Chubb, Outside Linebacker
- Dalton Risner, Guard
- Grayson Allen, Wide Receiver
- Baron Browning, Inside Linebacker
"These six players embody the values and leadership qualities we want to represent our team," said Payton. "They are respected by their teammates and coaches, and they set a high standard for performance and professionalism on and off the field."
Wilson, a nine-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion, takes on the captain role for the first time in his Broncos career. Simmons, a three-time Pro Bowler, returns as a captain for the fourth consecutive season.
Chubb, a two-time Pro Bowler, and Risner, a two-time All-Pro selection, bring experience and leadership to the defensive and offensive lines, respectively. Allen, a rising star, has emerged as a vocal leader in the wide receiver group.
Browning, a second-year player, has quickly established himself as a force on defense. His leadership and athleticism have earned him the respect of his teammates.
The Broncos begin their 2023 season on September 10th against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.
