Budapest curtain closes on 2023 World Athletics Championships

Nine captivating days of action brought to a close at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, as the sun set on another enthralling international track and field event.
World records in the Men's 100m and the Women's Pole Vault were shattered, with the United States triumphing in the Mixed 4 x 400m relay in a stunning 3:08.80, claiming the world record for that event as well.
Across 49 track and field and road competitions, medals were awarded to deserving athletes, and the team trophy will be given to the nation that accumulates the most points in the standings.
